Finally. after several rainy Fridays in a row, we get great weather for our annual hike to Rumbling Bald tomorrow. The northwest breeze should bring clear skies for long-range views of the North Carolina Piedmont from Eagle Rock. We will have two meeting locations: 8:00 at BiLo Pisgah Forest; or 8:30 Ingles US64 & I26 Hendersonville. Please RSVP.

Hunting season began on October 15. Here are the dates for the bear hunting and deer hunting seasons:
Bear hunting season: 10/15/18 – 11/17 and 12/10/18 – 1/1/19
Deer gun hunting season: 11/19/18 – 12/8/18
So wear or carry orange while hiking from mid-October to the end of the year.
