I was looking forward to tomorrow’s hike to Whiteside Mountain. Unfortunately the weather forecast for Higlands calls for clouds and rain–not good for taking in vistas. I’m changing the hike to the following: Ranger Station > Andy Cove > Exercise Trail > Lower North Slope > Exercise Trail > Ranger Station.

If you like vistas, this hike is for you.  From the Whiteside Mountain trailhead near Highlands, we hike the Whiteside Mountain loop counterclockwise.  We will stop at one of the many vistas along the way for lunch.  Bring your National Park pass to park for free.  Otherwise it’s $2.00.
